So In April this year we held the first ever 5 hour bootcamp challenge in Cannock. This was a challenge that was open to members and non members and involved 5 different bootcamp sessions back to back. The idea behind this is that not everyone wants to run a tough mudder, half marathon or climb the peaks.

This was a tough challenge that had 15 ladies take part and complete. There were short breaks after each session with a 20 min lunch break where we provided a buffet lunch. The sessions involved bands, balls, boxing, kettlebells, dumbbells, Battle ropes, and fun team games and each session had a particular focus. This included tabata bands, boxing cardio, bodyweight burn, heavy lifting and team game session.

By the end of the 5 hours some of our members had burned off over 2500 kcals already which is what you may expect if you were running a marathon distance. So we actually managed to burn off as much energy as if we were doing a running event but in a fun group atmosphere. I was very proud of the ladies and over all it was a really fun day from start to finish.

There were some sore muscles at the end of the challenge but the ladies seemed to enjoy it and have been asking about the next one. So the plan is to run the next one in October and again this is for members and non members as long as they are experienced exercisers. The cost of the 5 hour bootcamp is £30 for non members and £25 for members. This will include your lunch and drinks.
